Tobacco Products Directive (TPD)
The Tobacco Products Directive (TPD), Directive 2014/40/EU, is a piece of EU legislation that regulates the manufacture, presentation, and sale of tobacco and related products, aiming to improve the internal market while ensuring a high level of health protection. On May the 20th 2024, the EU tobacco traceability system was extended to include tobacco products other than cigarettes and roll-your-own tobacco.
